Call us: 603-934-1901 Email: info@themiddlenh.org Follow us on Facebook | | What's in a Name | "The Middle." A recent survey showed that approximately 95% of all Americans think of themselves as middle-class. Of course, there's much more than 5% who are either poor or rich, compared with the actual middle, but we like to think of ourselves as middle. It's comfortable in the middle. The Middle reflects that idea. We're a place that aims to be comfortable for the vast majority of people. You'll neither find things too "artsy" nor too low-brow here--most people will simply find quality, enjoyable arts and entertainment experiences. Of course, The Middle connotes our geography--centrally located in New Hampshire, and easy to get to from most points in the state. | | The Middle suggests the price point of most of our shows. Sure you can spend much more at other regional venues, but for the intimacy, comfort, hospitality, and distinctive, quality programming here, you'll find it's hard to beat the values here. Perhaps most importantly, The Middle implies that we're about what's on the inside. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, not a bread sandwich, after all; it's what's inside that counts. We tell our kids: it's not what somebody looks like that matters--it's what's on the inside. And as special as the venue here is--as wonderful a building the historic Opera House is and as much as we value it--it's what's on the inside here that we think makes us special. Discover it for yourself: the people; the pride; the history, tradition, and legacy; the spirit in this community; the hospitality, warmth, comfort, and intimacy here; the quality of the shows. Meet us in The Middle, and see for yourself. | | |
